When we choose our partners, we look for something they have in common with our parents, but what if ...?

I don't think that all people gravitate towards the Oedipus theory. My husband is absolutely nothing like either of my parents, and I am nothing like his. We chose each other based on mutual respect, honesty and a mutual love of activities. the funny thing here, is that as individuals, we are complete opposites. I think the best way to 'find a mate' is not to analyze what it is that attracts you to any particular person because you could overlook certain aspects of that person that may be crucial to a good [or bad] mix. Just meet people, be sincere, and enjoy!
